The Fog of Grief (2024) is a project I began after my father’s passing in January 2023. He was an avid hiker and nature lover, and being outdoors has helped me stay connected to him. These photos were taken during an Alpine crossing, where I hiked with an old friend from Germany through Austria and into Italy.
The essay reflects on the journey of grief and explores how we can create new memories while mourning the loss of a loved one.
